Further development of a proven performer:CONDUCTO® 2

Bronze grid protects against electrostatic charging

Reliable grounding of electrostatic charging and effective protection against explosions in the production process. In 2001, the German technical weaver for metals, plastics and fibers, GKD – Gebr. Kufferath AG, first presented its antistatic ventilation belt CONDUCTO® at the leading fair for the forestry and wood industries, the LIGNA+ HANNOVER. Today, this blended polyester mesh with bronze wires woven in along the running direction is a proven market performer used, among other things, as a ventilation belt or forming belt in the nonwovens industry, or in belt dryers in the wood-processing industry. Its certification according to the ATEX Norm Class 3 guarantees optimal security and quality. CONDUCTO® combines the advantages of the polyester and bronze materials woven together in it. The plastic ensures that the belt has the required flexibility and air permeability. The bronze wires ground electrical charges and so minimize the risk of fire or explosion during processing of the product. Thanks to the reduced electrostatic charge, no dust particles adhere to the belt, where they might lead to interruptions of the process.
